In 1998, Khazar University started activities for establishment of an elementary school. In 2003, an undergraduate degree program in Elementary Education started to be offered. The importance of nourishing the younger generation of teachers has been prioritized by the University since its foundation. At present, The School of Education (T?hsil fakült?si) consists of 6 undergraduate programs and 5 graduate programs leading to M.S., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees at the School. Accordingly, the main objectives of the School of Education are to conduct research in various field of Education, to develop educational policy and strategy, and to nurture future schoolteachers with a breadth of knowledge in education, humanities, and sciences and equipped with advanced skills and modern teaching methods. Special attention is given to transferring such skills and knowledge that would enable the students to creatively combine national values and traditions with universal values and norms in their future teaching, research and human development activities.

Requirements for the Bachelor's Degree
The Bachelor's degree is conferred by the university upon the student's application when the student has earned the minimum number of credits required for the degree and has met the requirements for the right distribution of the courses. Students must complete at least 132 credits to graduate, including 78 credits in the major. Each student must satisfy three types of requirements for the Bachelor's degree:

- Major and Major-related Requirements (Major Requirements for each major are divided into two groups: Required and Elective courses.)
- Open Electives: students must take at least two additional courses with a minimum of 6 credits. These courses can be taken from any major or non-major divisions without any restriction.

Requirements for the Master's Degree
The duration of the master program is 4 semesters, and it must be completed with a GPA of at least 75. Requirements for the graduate program in educational administration consist of a minimum of 36 credits of coursework and a thesis. The credits include required courses (12 credits) and elective courses (listed below). Program electives may be chosen from courses at the 500 level or above in the education field, or from related fields with the consent of the advisor. An individual program of study is planned in consultation with an advisor.
